Grew up ('dragged up' as we used to say) in Dublin 11, my mother was 11 years old when she had her fist child, 11 years later i was born, she had 11 children in all and so here we have a collection of 11 moments, capturing how it was and how it is now. Doodles of sorts, prose in the raking, joyful in the making.

An enormous thank you and expression of gratitude to my dear family, friends and colleagues who graciously gave me the space to be me.

Thank you to my two children, their spouses and grandson for their precious presence which fills me right up with so much joy and awe.

To all the children i have had the great fortune and pleasure to work with in the classroom. i thank them relentlessly for all their love, pureness, imagination and curiouslity that energises me so, so much. i love them all the way to the moon and back.

Dedication

In loving memory of my father and mother who both had a most difficult life and despite all the violence and harm that was committed i love them both dearly.

My dearest Bridie who stepped in to nourish us as one of her own, and who saved us from further incarcanation in the orphanage. She was a true and pure angel who walked this Earth, full of kindness and love to us all.

And to you, the reader of these humble lines, i deeply wish you all the joy, peace and love that you so richly deserve.

About the Author

Hello, you are most welcome... i am Peter Wynne, originally from Dublin 11, Ireland where i passed my formative years in the 60s and 70s. Since then i have lived over the years in the USA, West Germany (as it was then), The West of Ireland, Italy, Poland and Turkey as well as having travelled extensively.

i am first and foremost a survivor. Somehow, i managed to have come through my childhood traumas and abandonment which was not easy at all. This is something that i continue to work at all the time. None the less i am eternally grateful to have been granted this possibility.

However, i am grateful too to be here at this time, to be in a position to share with you the joy of the power of love that i have been fortunate to unearth from within, to have transcended the pain and cruelties. And believe me when i say, it is possible, it is there for you too! An energy that resides within all of us.

A milkman, a dry stone wall builder, a gardener, a knitter, a carpenter, a house painter, a photographer, a teacher, a stage actor, a writer, a listener among many other skills and talents that i have nourished over the years.

i have always fervently engaged myself in, being enormously fond of... colouring outside of the lines.
